The Full Body Teleportation System "teleports a human being through hyperspace from one location to another using a pulsed gravitational wave traveling through hyperspace."
This might sound far-fetched, but the inventor says that it's based on an actual occurrence, shown in the diagram below.
Apparently, he was walking down the road to the bus stop. A wide metal grating for water drainage crosses the road. The inventor was about 50 meters from the grating when he felt a wave travelling down the street. When the wave had passed, he realized that instead of being in front of him the grating was now 50 meters behind him. "Because there was no recollection of having jumped across the iron grating nor of having passed the bus stop's yellow marker line, he realized that he had been teleported a distance of 100 meters."
So there you have it. Because he couldn't remember crossing the grating, he must have been teleported. Based on this, the patent application describes the design of the Full Body Teleportation System:
